True Love - Find the Right Partner!
Everyone dreams of true love. But is it really just a dream? Does it only exist in the movies, or only among men - as they so like to claim? Is the search for true love similar to the search for happiness? That you only find it when you stop looking for it? Do we search for it too doggedly and then simply run right past it?
But what actually is true love?
Unfortunately, it can't be defined that simply or universally. For hundreds of years, philosophers, poets and humankind in general have been racking their brains over it.
True love, however, is something deeper, not just the initial infatuation and the
butterflies in your stomach. It can be the result of long, hard work, of getting through highs and lows and of deep connection. It is not always pure romance and a rosy sky full of violins. Gusts of wind are just as much a part of the "weather" of true love.
To be able to open yourself to it, an important prerequisite is being able to accept your partner as he or she is. Looking in the same direction together and trusting each other unconditionally.
The teasing sort like to claim that true love in a relationship can only arise if one partner is a little "deaf" and the other a little "blind."
How do you find true love?
Spiritual people often claim that it can't be found "out there" but only within yourself. Quite a few books have been written on this topic. And this claim isn't so wrong at all when you consider the saying "You can't love with resentment in your heart."
To be open to it, you have to be at peace with yourself. This is the foundation for true love to arise. It really does take some courage to first deal with yourself.
Waiting for the prince or princess on a white horse to come to the "rescue" one day is therefore one of the biggest mistakes you can make when searching for the great love.
True love isn't always complicated
You often hear from new parents that they only knew what unconditional, true love was since their child was born. Ask many a dog owner and you'll find that animals can show you true love, too.
Sometimes it is simply there, without you having to "hard" work for it.
